Factory Manager

Qualifications

  • B.E / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Polymer Technology/Plastic Technology, or related fields. A master’s degree is an advantage.
  • 10–15 years of overall experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in plastics processing or recycling industry.
  • Minimum 5 years in a managerial role, preferably in plastic, polymer, or chemical processing industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day factory operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead production planning and execution aligned with company objectives In collaboration with sales team.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials, consumables and finished goods.
  • Coordinate with customers to ensure product quality and service levels.
  • Establish and manage relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
  • Manage and motivate plant personnel and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory compliance, including EHS norms.
  • Ensure environmentally responsible operations including waste management and pollution control
  • Drive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices across departments.
  • Ensure robust plant maintenance to reduce downtime and increase longevity of all equipment.
  • Maintain comprehensive production, quality, and operational reporting.
  • Work closely with the Factory Accountant for cost control and financial performance tracking.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of financial analysis, including Profit & Loss statements and plant-level budgeting.
  • Provide regular updates and strategic insights to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).


Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Exposure to TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Green Belt certification (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and project management skills.
  • Sound knowledge of plant maintenance systems.
  • Proficient in SAP and other ERP systems.
  • Analytical and Problem Solving mindset with a focus on profitability and cost optimization.
  • Strong grasp of quality control systems, and resource planning.
  • Knowledge of Various Certification Process – FDA / FSSI / ISO etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Familiarity with local language, business practices and regulations is an advantage.

QC / QA Manager

Job Profile: QC / QA Manager –Food Grade rPET (Recycled PET)
Location: [Guwahati – Assam]
Reports to: Head – Chief Operating Officer
Industry: Recycling / Packaging / Sustainability

Role Objective
To ensure that food-grade rPET flakes and granules consistently meet global regulatory standards and brand requirements. The role combines QC (testing), QA (system compliance), regulatory approvals (FDA/FSSAI), and brand engagement for quality issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Control (QC) – Product Testing

  • Lead and supervise testing of rPET flakes and granules at raw material, in-process, and finished stages.
  • Operate & oversee key QC instruments:
    ▪ GC, HPLC, Spectrophotometer, Karl Fischer Titrator
    ▪ Haze Meter, Intrinsic Viscosity (IV) Tester, Bulk Density Tester
    ▪ ICP-MS, ICP-OES, AAS (heavy metals)
    ▪ DSC, MFI Tester, FTIR, VOC analysers
  • Ensure testing compliance for FDA (21 CFR) and FSSAI food-contact regulations, including
  • Overall & specific migration tests
  • Heavy metal & contaminant analysis
  • VOC & impurity checks
  • Hygiene & microbiological testing (as required)

    Quality Assurance (QA) – Systems & Audits
  • Establish, maintain, and improve Quality Systems (QS).
  • Lead audits: ISO 9001, ISO 22000 (Food Safety), ISO 14001, BRC Packaging Standard.
  • Prepare & manage Sustainability Audits (GRS, RCS, ESG, brand sustainability checks).
  • Ensure full traceability & documentation across supply chain for food-grade compliance.
  • FDA / FSSAI Compliance for rPET.

    Brand Requirement & Complaint Handling
  • Understand and align with specific brand quality requirements (color, IV, contamination, haze, certification needs).
  • Act as the primary quality contact for FMCG, beverage, and packaging brands.
  • Handle customer complaints: investigate, perform root cause analysis, implement CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions), and ensure timely closure.
  • Conduct regular quality review meetings with key brand clients.

    Leadership & Coordination
  • Lead the QC/QA team and train staff on testing protocols, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and audit preparedness.
  • Collaborate with Production, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to ensure food-grade quality consistency.
  • Represent the plant during brand/customer audits and ensure positive outcomes.

    Reporting
  • Provide regular reports on product quality, customer complaints, audit NCs, and improvements.
  • Recommend process upgrades to meet evolving brand & regulatory requirements.

    Key Skills & Competencies
  • Hands-on expertise with polymer testing instruments (GC, HPLC, ICP, DSC, MFI, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of FDA, FSSAI, ISO, BRC, and sustainability standards.
  • Deep understanding of brand specifications for food-grade rPET.
  • Experience in customer complaint management & brand coordination.
  • Strong leadership, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

    Qualifications & Experience
  • M.Sc. (Chemistry / Polymer Science) OR B.Tech./M.Tech. (Chemical / Plastics / Polymer Engineering).
  • 8–12 years’ experience in QC/QA of polymers / rPET / PET (with at least 3–5 years in food-grade applications).
  • Prior experience in brand quality management & complaint handling is mandatory.
  • Certified Internal Auditor for ISO/BRC/GRS preferred.

    Performance KPIs
  • % of food-grade batches approved in first-pass quality checks.
  • Audit success rate (ISO, BRC, FDA, FSSAI, sustainability).
  • Customer complaint resolution turnaround time.
  • Customer rejection rate (target: continuous reduction).

Sales Manager

Job Profile: Sales Manager – rPET (Recycled PET) & EPR Compliance

Role Objective –
To lead sales of rPET (Recycled PET) to FMCG, packaging, and textile brands while ensuring alignment with EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) compliance requirements under the Plastic Waste Management Rules. The role requires strong brand relationships, technical knowledge of rPET, and expertise in EPR regulations.

Key Responsibilities –
1. Business Development & Sales
2. Drive sales of rPET flakes, chips, and granules to brands, packaging converters, and PET product manufacturers.
3. Identify and develop new client accounts in FMCG, beverages, textiles, and packaging sectors.
4. Achieve sales targets and revenue growth objectives.

Brand Engagement –
1. Build and maintain relationships with Producers, Importers, and Brand Owners (PIBOs).
2. Understand brand requirements for recycled content in packaging.
3. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules.

EPR Compliance –
1. Support clients in meeting their EPR targets (as per CPCB/SPCB guidelines).
2. Provide necessary documentation, recycled content certification, and traceability reports.
3. Liaise with regulatory authorities, PROs (Producer Responsibility Organizations), and auditors.

Market Development –
1. Track market demand, price trends, and competitor activity in rPET.
2. Identify opportunities in new segments (e.g., textiles, thermoforming, fibers).
3. Develop strategies for enhancing brand adoption of rPET.

Coordination & Reporting –
1. Work closely with production, supply chain, and compliance teams to ensure timely delivery & regulatory alignment.
2. Report sales performance, pipeline status, and compliance support activities to management.

Key Skills & Competencies –

1. Strong B2B sales experience in polymers / packaging / recycled materials.
2. Deep knowledge of rPET grades, applications, and quality parameters.
3. Good understanding of EPR compliance regulations in India.
4. Strong network with FMCG, beverages, and packaging brands.
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
6. Ability to work independently and drive results.

Qualifications & Experience –

1. Graduate / Postgraduate in Chemicals / Polymers / Plastics / Business Management.
2. 5–10 years of experience in polymer / recycled plastic sales, preferably PET/rPET.
3. Exposure to EPR compliance processes and working with brands.
4. MBA in Marketing / Sustainability
