Adopting rPET is crucial from two perspectives - minimum 30% application of recycled plastic in new production is mandated by govt from April1, 2025 and hence its no longer a choice but a need to shift to recycled products. Along with it, higher adoption of recycled products puts producers forward as sustainable and environmentally responsible in front of customers.
- Under PCR, government has mandated all PET based producers, importers as well as brand owners (PIBOs) to use minimum 30% rPET in new production starting April 1, 2025 and laid out policy to increase this to 60% from FY28-29.
- Under EPR, PIBOs must ensure recycling of minimum 50% of new plastic produced from FY 24-25 and govt has laid out policy to increase this to 80% from FY 27-28 onwards
Clean Enviro’s recycling process follows a 5-step approach: Collection, Sorting & Cleaning, Flake Production, Granule Formation, and Quality Assurance, transforming post-consumer PET waste into high-quality, food-grade recycled materials through a streamlined and technology-driven system.
